SPONSORED WALK

On Sunday 26th June 2011 supporters walked the perimeter of the Downs in Clifton, Bristol to raise money for the charity. It was a boiling hot day and lots of water was on hand for the thristy pouches and their owners. The event, organised by Co-Founder and Trustee Jayne Chard. The Zurich Community Trust generously matched the £263.10 that their employee Tony Trivett's raised bringing the total for the event to just over £1,500.

 

POKER NIGHT

AJ and Dawn held a girl’s Poker Night at her house raising £105 for the Foundation.

 

 

 

 

BLUEBELLS DAY SPA

ImageTrustee Nikki Ind held three Spa Days, two in June 2010 and one in September 2010 raising a staggering £1,209 for the charity.  All the therapists offered their services for free. PADDLE FOR POOCHES

Image Volunteers and supporters on Koh Tao went around the island by canoe round the island to raise money for the Foundation.

 

 

 

BRISTOL MARATHON

Nikki was once again on the sponsorship campaign running the Bristol 10k with partner Lee on 10th May 2009 raising £1,000.  Lee ran the 10k again in 2010 raising a further £205!

 

 

 

 

 

 STRICTLY BRISTOL BALLROOM

In July 2009 Trustee and Co Founder Jayne Chard organised Strictly Bristol Ballroom. The four sets of celebrities and their partners were:  TV Vet Maria Lowe and Aaron Davies; Mistresses actor Mark Danbury and Jane Pearce; Radio presenter Kate Pitman and Thomas Rache; Boxer Dean Francis and partner Misha Simmonite, The celebrities trained for six weeks under the renowned Argentine Tango teacher Eduardo Bozzo.

ImageThe judges were Sherrie Eugene-Hart; Patricia Jay; Cyril Chant and Jamie Breese. Gary Fleetwood and Broadcaster Susan Osman compered the show and Jonathan Randall provided the music.

It was a very close competition and winning by just two points were Dean Francis and Misha Simmonite.

The event raised £2,191.
